Offering a payment plan shouldn’t be the hard part.

Most service businesses already say yes to plans. The trouble starts after.

The price stalls the sale.

A buyer wants the program but can’t pay $4,800 today. You could offer a plan, if tracking it weren’t a second job.

The balance lives in a spreadsheet.

Stripe shows payments. Your sheet shows who owes what. Every month you check one against the other.

The “plan” is a subscription you must remember to cancel.

No deposit, no total, no end you can trust. Move one payment and the math is yours to fix.

How Cadence works

From one price to a schedule your customer agreed to.

  1. 01

    Build the plan

Set the total, deposit, number of monthly installments and first due date. Cadence splits the balance to the cent, so the schedule always adds up to the price.

    Working

  2. 02

Your customer accepts the exact terms

Send a private, revocable link. Your customer reviews every amount and date and accepts that version of the schedule.

  3. 03

Installments go out as Stripe invoices

Each installment is issued as a Stripe-hosted invoice from your own Stripe account. Your customer pays on Stripe. The money lands in your balance, not ours.

  4. 04

The balance updates on verified payment

Cadence checks each payment with Stripe before it counts. A declined card leaves the balance exactly where it was.

Questions

Is Cadence a lender or buy now, pay later provider?

No. Cadence does not lend money, approve buyers or pay you in advance. You offer the plan, your customer pays you over time, and Cadence administers the schedule and balance.

Where do payments go?

Each installment is a Stripe invoice issued from your own Stripe account, so payments settle to your Stripe balance under your normal Stripe pricing. Cadence does not hold funds.

Can I use Cadence today?

Not yet. Stripe collection is in a sandbox pilot. No live payments yet. Automatic card charging, reminders and changes to accepted plans are planned.

What kinds of businesses is Cadence for?

Businesses on Stripe that sell high-ticket services or programs: coaches and consultants, training and education providers, and professional or creative services that take a deposit and collect the rest over time.

How much will it cost?

The proposed price is $79 per month, plus your usual Stripe fees. It is not final and there is no checkout yet.
